The holiday season is such a fun time with a 1 year old! Time flies and in the blink of an eye, the holiday season will be behind you! So let me just encourage you to live in the moment as much as possible!!
Below you will find a list of products I highly recommend for 1 year olds. These are well-loved items in our house and are my go-to’s when searching for a gift for someone else’s first birthday!
- VTech Turn and Learn Driver – Encourages developing motor skills. My daughters absolutely LOVED this! The sounds and buttons/knobs kept her busy and engaged!
- Green Toys Firetruck – These green toys are our very FAVORITE trucks to give to 1 year old little boys. They’re made of recycled plastic and can be played with inside or out. Their size makes them easy to maneuver, which is perfect for 1 year olds! They may seem a bit pricey, but they are durable and will be well loved! They also make a car carrier, a recycling truck, an airplane, a boat, and even a pink dump truck.
- Little Tikes Shopping Cart – This cart was perfect for my girls as they began to walk! It is truly ideal for imaginative play and pairs well with a kitchen set or wooden kitchen food sets!
- Rock My Baby Unicorn Rocker – These rockers are precious, comfy and come in several styles!
- Little Tikes Gas N Go Mower – a family favorite for my children and my nieces and nephews
- Little Tikes Cozy Truck – how stinking cute is this boyish spin on a classic toy. the “cozy car” has been a favorite for years. and I love this masculine alternative for your little man.
- Wooden Stacking Shapes – learning shapes and colors and getting those motor skills fine tuned
- Musical Tea Set – we love all things LeapFrog. and this musical tea set has been a fan favorite around our house for a few years.
- My First Baby Doll – both of my girls have this baby doll and it is so sweet and snuggly. its the perfect first doll for a 1 year old because of it’s size and material.
- Tegu Magnetic Blocks – these Tegu blocks are AWESOME! they come in more complex packages but we bought this simple one to get started. I love the felt carrying case which makes them perfect for the diaper bag and traveling.
- My Pal Violet – we were gifted this little lady and still enjoy it. she talks and can be programed to say specific things.
- Radio Flyer Wagon – This is a classic gift that every household needs, especially if you have multiple children! The canopy provides excellent protection from the sun! If your 1 year old is prone to trying to hop out, you will love that this wagon comes with seat belts!
- Stroll and Learn Walker – another toy to get your 1 year old upright and walking. Hudson uses her’s daily to get around the house…if only she would let go and take a step 😉 it also comes in a more masculine version with this cute little zebra
- B Toys Musical Instrument Set – another toy that I was hesitant of, but has been loved beyond belief in our house. 1 year olds like making lots of noise and this little set has all the noise! plus it is really nice to have everything stored inside the drum when they’re done.
- Smart Phone/Remote – I’m pretty sure I can sing this phones little tune in my sleep. if it goes off once in a day, it goes off 100 times. but it’s easy for babies to hold and helps them learn to push buttons.
