The first Christmas is so important and memorable! I’ve rounded up my favorite gifts for one year olds that our girls were either given or we have given to other family members. One year old gifts should either be sentimental or promote some level of development from standing or walking to gross motor skills.
- “Piggy” Bank // As a parent, the best gift your child can get is money! It’s never too early to start saving. Cash, savings bonds, or stock notes. I love having a “piggy” bank for my girls to keep their cash!
- 4 in 1 Tricycle // The handle on this is a real game changer for pushing your kid on a tricycle. This one is great for little ones because they can be buckled in and it’s a little more exciting than a stroller. I also came across THIS ONE that is equally as cute but also FOLDS IN HALF which is incredible for car storage.
- Leap Frog – My Pal Violet // We loved this little programable dog who plays all the classic songs, lights up, and teaches your kid first words. It can also be personalized to recite your childs name.
- Laugh and Learn Purse // Another fan favorite in our house. This person makes all the “fun” noises but introduces your kid to the things they see you carrying…phone, keys, mirror, and most of all…credit card 😉
- Wooden Puzzles // We have every wooden puzzle under the sun. These hold up against chewing 😉 And last forever and ever. I love watching a little one figure them out for the first time.
- Push Behind Little Tikes Cozy Coupe // Every kid has this Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. But how fun to have a smaller version that doubles as a grocery cart and helps your little one learn to walk!
- Stand and Learn Activity Table // Another great toy that entices your child to learn to stand and keeps them entertained once they get there. The legs pop off for easy storage or so they can sit and play.
- GREEN Toys // These oversized trucks, planes, and trains are some of the best boy toys I’ve ever gifted. Made from recycled plastic, they are indestructible and large enough that tiny humans can hold and push them around.
- Elegant Baby Squishy People // These tiny toys are the best things ever for your diaper bag. They’re designed to be bath toys but we never let them in the bath (gross mold). They are the perfect size for tiny hands and great for chewing on. The best part is that they come in their own little packages.
- Wooden Stacking Toys // We love all wooden toys in our house. These bright colors are attractive and fun for tiny tots. Indestructible and promote motor skill development.
- Little Tikes Cozy Truck // The new and improved version of the Cozy Coupe. Every tiny tot needs one of these!
- Large Pretend Phone // Phones are all the rave in our house. I guess because our kids see us on them all the time…so they want one too. This one is a great size and makes all the annoying noises!
