Sequins from the Holiday to New Years

Alright you guys – you picked it and I styled it! How much fun was the voting via IG? I personally loved the heck out of it because it gave me a chance to see what y’all like 😉  It’s fun for me to style what I like, but its even more fun for me to style what YOU like! So here’s the first look that you chose….

I shared 2 blouses, one velvet and one sequin, and you guys picked this sequin one. And I’m obsessed! Great choice!! This look would be perfect for a holiday cocktail party, a work social, or even a family holiday event. And of course you can carry sequins right on into New Years Eve.

Let’s talk alllll the things I love about this top:

1. The sleeves – they are wider than normal which gives it a dressier feel. They are cropped which gives you room to still wear a jacket over it. Or a fancy bracelet stack around your wrist.
2. The crop – I love that this shirt isn’t long. IMO, the crop also makes it look dressier. The shorter the better 😉 It shows off your waistline and makes more of a statement than a longer shirt.
3. The color – wine is EVERYWHERE this season! And I don’t just mean the cases delivered to my doorstep 😉 The color “wine” is one of the hottest colors this fall/winter! And what a great color for sequins! Not too flashy but not black either! It’s honestly perfection!
4. The fit – I love that this top isn’t tight. Honest moment – at first it actually bothered me because it wasn’t tight. I felt like it hung off me a little and was unflattering. But the more I wore it, I fell in love! It is a very VERY comfortable fit. It’s not snug and it also allows room to move and stretch your shoulders. This makes it the perfect top for “holidaying” … all the hugs and dance moves!

I paired this top with the BEST shimmery black jeans you’ll ever put on! They have the stretch that forgives and the shimmer that accents all the right parts! And these pumps — well they speak for themselves! The gold studs on the back are amazing! Jessica Simpson may not have rocked the movie industry, but she knows how to make a pump! I literally can’t get enough of these beauties!
