Nothing makes me happier than dresses with bare legs and booties! Except for a date with my boo! So when they all come together in one night…it’s blog worthy 🙂
These boots are legit amazing! A few years back my sister-in-laws and I tried our hands at a fashion account. The concept was not so much high end fashion, but more so how to “clothes share” with your friends. Highlighting all the various ways you can style the same one piece in your closet. Anywho – that ship sailed. But in the process we discovered the “front dip bootie”. I’m sure it has a better term in the fashion world but I just like the idea of a “front dip”! It started when I stumbled upon a pair of Carlos Santana booties at Famous Footwear (yes I buy affordable shoes because I like to have a closet full at all times!). They had a little dip in the front of them and a shorter block heel. I was working as a dentist at the time and they were comfortable enough to wear all day. And even better…that little “front dip” made my 5’3″ legs look longer. I was no Giselle by any means. But it was better than chopping my legs up and accentuating my larger than life calves. I then stalked the inter-web and found them on eBay for $30 and bought them in multiple colors. Sadly, my feet grew after Parker was born and those amazing booties now live in a happy home somewhere in Missouri 🙁 seriously a very depressing situation!
But – much to my surprise…Vince Camuto got the “front dip” memo and has been putting out booties for shorter legged women in the last two years. My sister-in-law and I are convinced that his wife is 5 foot tall. Either that or he’s just a damn genius and knows what REALLY matters to women…long legs DUH! So these boots are actually from Amazon and range in price depending on size and color. And not only will they help in the short leg department, they are also comfy AH. Tom and I recently went to Napa where I shopped for months and planned the cutest outfits I’ve worn in…well…at least 3 years (when we took our last vacation aka our honeymoon). Unfortunately, we went during the week of the California monsoon and I had ONE pair of closed toe shoes with me…these boots! When I say I wore them all day, every day I literally mean it!! For 5 straight days. Not one blister. Not one cramped toe. They are amazing! I am now a size 7 (thanks to a sassy little lady) and a 7 fit perfectly!

Long sleeve, floral, flowy dresses….I mean really!!! Can I get an AMEN! This is every girls excuse to indulge in appetizers, dinner, dessert, AND have a few drinks! I absolutely love this trend! It’s boho chic meets feminine. My husband calls it a moo moo. I call it comfy, practical, and even better…so on trend right now! The one I’m wearing isn’t available anymore but I’ve linked some just like it! To prevent the “moo moo” look (God help me) it’s key for it to be more fitted through the chest and down into your rib cage. Then the flare starts just above the belly button. Eat your heart out ladies! (literally)
