I know I’m not the only one who is ready for fall! Starbucks is ready. College football is ready. Every retail store in America is ready. But apparently the weather missed the memo! Like COME ON ALREADY! I’m so sick of sleeveless and bright colors. And it’s borderline awkward to still be wearing sandals! So regardless of the temps outside, I’m in fall mode.
shirt // vest // booties // hat
And this outfit has me ready for a bonfire and some apple cider! These booties are the perfect transitional shoe. The peep toe and open heel say just enough summer but the brown suede says just enough fall. And this plaid shirt! I’m a sucker for plaid. This one is a must have. It’s loose and long. I’m wearing a small and there is plenty of room to button it all the way up. The vest is probably my favorite part. It reminds me of something from Patagonia but for 1/4 the price. (I’m also wearing a small). Now the hat — out of my comfort zone. My dear friend Mary Powers told me I needed to start accessorizing for my pictures more! So…here I am! I actually love hats! And Tom loves it when I wear hats. But I’m not bold enough to run around town, or even to a BBQ with a hat on. Wish I was! On vacation I may possibly wear it! Because…well…anything is fair game on vacation 😉 But if you are a hat person…this is the one!
We are heading to Napa soon and maybe its the thought of wine tasting my way through California, but I’m currently OBSESSING over this color! It’s bold. It’s elegant. It’s feminine but not frilly. And it’s good enough for a hat down to a flannel shirt or pumps. If there is ANYTHING you add to your fall wardrobe this year it should be this color. Cheers 😉
